Created and hosted by singer songwriter Beth Portman, Birdie on a Branch is an intimate monthly music night (2nd Thursday) that celebrates the human voice and features local singer songwriters and vocalists both emerging and experienced. Come for dinner, a latte, glass of wine or a sweet treat and check out the many talented performers hopping on the branch to share their songs. Evening typically includes two sets: 20 minute opener and 45 minute feature. Show your appreciation by leaving a donation in our painted bird houses.

“Spring is in the air and these birds are going to sing! Our next Birdie on a Branch is May 9th. Join us for featured birdie, Paul Ledding and opening new birdie, Madeline West.”
Paul Ledding's musical stylings teleport you to a classier time and place, making it easy to imagine yourself sitting in a nightclub circa-1950 with a glass of fine whiskey in hand. A modern take on a classic sound, Ledding's eclectic 2014 debut EP Play Me A Song masterfully explores his vocal versatility, while placing him in the spotlight alongside renaissance stars like Michael Buble', Jamie Cullum and Ben'Oncle Soul.
A natural showman, Ledding draws his audience in with his flirty and playful energy, effortlessly navigating through a wide array of styles with his velvety voice.
When asked about his journey as an artist, Ledding shares "Life is a waste of time if you spend the majority of your day doing something that is not meaningful to you. Music reminds me to keep doing what I enjoy doing and it provides me with a chance to inspire and connect with others through my song writing."

Madeline West, 12 year old, singer-songwriter, has a love for music and performing for "big" audiences. She states that she is "just getting started and is ready for better and bigger things."
Madeline wrote her first song on the guitar at the age of 10. In 2018, she recorded her first CD including three original songs. With lyrics full of emotion, sung in a strong, confident voice, this young talent is a joy to experience.
“Thanks to everyone who made it out to see these fabulous artists on April 11, Lisa Nicole Grace, Jered and Cyra. Such a great evening of music!”
